demo38.com - Redesign in Progress
Thursday, 17 March 2011 22:36
Well, there comes a time when you have to say goodbye to one thing, and hello to another. I'm in the process of rebranding / retooling / reorganizing / rewriting & redesigning demo38.com.In the process, I've decided to switch over to using WordPress under the hood. Nothing against Joomla! and the great software that it is, but I've really come to like the easy to access flexibility that Wordpress offers.

Nice things are underway, and, I'm having fun ;)

Please stay tuned.

Are you running CyanogenMod?
Sunday, 10 October 2010 13:30
If you're one of the millions of people running Android phones that your carrier has decided to not upgrade to the latest Google OS, or you just want to try out a new ROM build on your device, check out CyanogenMod. It's an open-source build based on FroYo (the latest official Google mobile OS / Android 2.2). Great feature list, great support, very active project and big speed increases.

HTC Hero - Android 2.1 Security Swipe Lock Out Bug Fix
Monday, 19 July 2010 11:03

...or at least a workaround...

I recently hit an issue with a Sprint HTC Hero running Android 2.1 - it locked me out of the phone after too many failed security pattern swipe attempts to log in while the screen was apparently on while in my pocket, but this would apply regardless.

After 5 failed attempts (by default) to swipe and login to the phone, the phone will lock you out and prompt you to type in your Google username / password used when setting up the phone in order to access the device.

Wouldn’t be a big deal, except that there is a bug in the HTC Hero that doesn’t allow the phone to access the internet until after authorizing… Hence the dilemma… The phone sits on a "connecting" prompt forever; since it can’t hit the internet to verify, it won’t let you in. It just cycles until you pull the battery.

After a lot of forum surfing, I found a fix that worked for me, and without having to reset the phone to default and starting from scratch.

To get around it, at the Google account login screen prompt, enter your original Google username (not an alias email address, the real address used when you set up your account). But, instead of your actual password, enter “null” (without the quotes), then press to accept. For whatever reason, that accepts, then quickly comes back to the same login screen again asking you to log in. This time enter your Google username and actual password, and it goes right through. At least it worked for me, hope it helps you too.

Architectural Photography - Now Added
Sunday, 27 June 2010 22:42
I've decided to share some photography projects that I had worked on last year. The first additions being Karlsberger projects; Niswonger Children's Hospital, Brownsboro Hospital, OhioHealth - Dublin Methodist Hospital and Lifecare Alliance. It's been really nice to see projects like these come together from all angles of visualization. Now online.

Architectural Photography - Coming Soon
Sunday, 27 June 2010 00:25
Over the past year or so, I've had the chance to photograph some great healthcare architecture projects, and as part of that, in the next day or so, I'm going to be adding a new photography section to my portfolio here on demo38.com to display some of them. More to come.

Hundreds of Twitter Accounts Hacked
Sunday, 07 March 2010 00:21
Can't we all just get along? As reported by @Mashable tonight, hundreds of Twitter accounts have been hacked. It appears that some 3rd party site(s) that users had previously granted access to through the Twitter API, have been compromised, thus posting links about diets and loosing weight quickly. http://mashable.com/2010/03/06/twitter-accounts-hacked/
